I really dig that paper! I took it for a testrun and the softened background looks really good behind my icons. Very easy on the eyes. And with all due respect to the logo creator... I like the colors of your globe. It's glassy but not too bright. Very classy IMHO.

I meant to add that there are some pretty incredible wallpapers in this thread. I wish I had that kind of creativity. I wanted to comment on them the other day but they were posted before my time with this board.

Thanks, exeterdad! I like the higher saturation in the "real" vl globe. But, after I'd blurred and heavily reduced the saturation in the photo, I felt the logo should be less saturated also to match the background. The source included the unblurred original photo plus the fully saturated VL logo, if anyone wants to play with it. Super Job!! I really like this one myself. I hope you don't mind, but I took that and went a few steps further with it, with the attempt to give it a more 3D look, and tried to give the text a look as though they are of molded gold pieces. Finally, I gave an additional light-glow effect to fit with the lighting on the objects. That came out pretty frick'n cool. Didn't even occur to me that the objects were lit, but the light source was missing. Good catch!

VL Aqua wallpaper:  1280x800 widescreen version  I was bored enough to try some VL artwork. I noticed I didnt have any wallpaper I wanted for my fresh VL59, so heres the outcome.
