Sorry, I did it only in 1280x1024 resolution. It's possible to upscale it but Im afraid it would look crappy. :-/ Thanks for the comments so far uelsk8s, exeterdad, dweeberkitty and easuter. |

1680x1050 wallpaper  I accidentally deleted the original .psd file so I started to rework on this. I think the new version ended up not being as good so I just chose this used to be w.i.p wallpaper preview I took. Similar graphics style might end up being used in future VL website theming, without the metallic maccish factor. Hope you enjoy. |

Now that is a fun wallpaper, perhaps you could do versions of it with different parts of the globe showing, ie have 3 or 4 globes from different aspects....

I don't know virtually anything about gimp, but how would wallpapers following these ideas be?
1. simple but not plain blue background with the Vector logo, along with the text: "Stable, Quick, Vector"?
2. different OSs depicted as huge lumbering ships and Vector as a speedboat?
3. a twister filled with all of the different things in a standard Vector release such as KDE, OpenOffice, Konquerer, etc with the small end going into the logo, "How on earth did we get all this stuff into such a little package?"
4. an old computer, an Eee PC, or something: "I may be slow, but I can still run Vector as fast as the rest".
just some ideas, based on what I know of VL so far.
