vl install without operating system

is it easier to install when you dont have a operating system? like wipe your hard drive clean then install from cd? another too rawrite just wont copy to my floppy disk ive tried everything to formatting it, saying cannot read sector or something, anyone know of a program similar that does what rawrite does?

Better write VL iso on a CD-R.
Floppy install uses .iso file on hard disk. So you can't wipe everything from it.

No, install is the same if you don't care about other data on the hdd. The rhino doesn't see well, but it isn't it's problem, you know..

you know about the veclinux.bz2 input ouput error when installing, cannot find on directory

No, I don't. Looks like some problem with your .iso or with your cd-rom.

Have you:
1) checked md5sum of downloaded VL image?
2) checked installation files during installation process?

If you tell, what computer and VL version do you use, that'll be nice too.

ive got a compaq presario 1400 or model number is 14xl245 and using vl 4.0, 192 mb of ram with 8 gig hard drive, and a celeron 566hr processor
