Well, I recently moved to Arkansas via Ohio from Louisiana. Got fed up with the great Bill Gates and have been playing with Linux for about a month now. So far I think I've gone through maybe 14 different desktop OS's. What I have right now is ok and stable, but that old curiosity has been revived since I took the leap. Later,,,, gotta lotta answers to questions I gotta ferret out.

I run quite a few different OS'es myself, that's one of the great things about the linux OS the freedom to use your own flavor.

I've found that most new Linux users are frustrated for the first few months.  After six months if they stick with it they wonder how they ever made do with something like Windows  Grin  Seriously, stick with it.  The rewards are worth it.

Vector Linux is not the easiest distro for a newcomer (though 5.8 SOHO is getting there) but it can't be beat in terms of performance.  You'll also get helpful answers to all your questions here in the forum.  It's a very newcomer-friendly community.

Welcome!

That wasn't exactly my experience but I sure am glad I use Linux.
