The VL 5.8 SOHO installer states there is no "network card present" and then says it is "skipping" the network configuration for my on-board network adapter (ASUS M2NPV-VM MB having NVIDIA NForce 430 LAN adapter).  Strangely though the adapter gets set up in a "default" state (hostname vector.linux.net, using DHCP, etc.) which does work with my modem/router although it does mean that for static IPs, etc. manual post install confuration via VASM is required.  Could this be fixed for future VL releases so that on-board adapters can be configured during the install?

PS: Apologies if I have put this in the wrong section - had a choice of 3.
