I don't know if this is the right forum or not, but I'll try here to start.

As of yesterday I get this error from KDE whenever I try to run a program via kdesu:

Code:
DCOP communications error

There was an error setting up inter-process communications for KDE. The message returned by the system was:

Could not open network socket.

Please check that the "dcopserver" program is running!

Which of course it is:

Code:
$ ps -C dcopserver
  PID TTY          TIME CMD
 2808 ?        00:00:00 dcopserver

I was playing around with cpufreq settings before this started, that's the only thing I can think of that's changed. Don't see why that would make a difference.

Any ideas? Thanks.
