Author Topic: On-Board network adapter detection  (Read 1745 times)

The VL 5.8 SOHO installer states there is no "network card present" and then says it is "skipping" the network configuration for my on-board network adapter (ASUS M2NPV-VM MB having NVIDIA NForce 430 LAN adapter).  Strangely though the adapter gets set up in a "default" state (hostname, using DHCP, etc.) which does work with my modem/router although it does mean that for static IPs, etc. manual post install confuration via VASM is required.  Could this be fixed for future VL releases so that on-board adapters can be configured during the install?

PS: Apologies if I have put this in the wrong section - had a choice of 3.
