I'm sort of running out of programs to package. I need some more suggestions of programs to include, especially video ones. Thanks!

Already did that one. Here's the list that I've been working on.

http://www.vectorlinux.com/forum2/index.php?topic=4040.msg29363#msg29363

If people could suggest programs that aren't already on that list, that would be great. Sorry I didn't mention that before. Thanks!

The player Songbird would be a nice addon... But I that doesn't fit the editing things a sounddevelopper wants...

Weird program.

I need help. I've packaged all the dependencies for lilypond but now it asks for mf mf-nowin and a few others along the same line. I found that the mf programs are part of MetaFont but for the life of me I can't find where to download the thing. It seems to go hand in hand with Tex. I've never had any experience with MetaFont stuff and I don't know where to get it. It appears that mf and mf-nowin etc... are programs. Here's the man page for them: http://linux.die.net/man/1/mf-nowin but I can't find where to get the source. I'm sure it's really simple but I can't find it. The sooner I can get this packaged, the sooner I can do lilypond and the other music notation editors. If someone could direct me to the right place, that'd be great. Thanks!

Thanks Exeterdad. That's what I was looking for. I had already looked at teTeX but it looked like it's not being developed any more and there was no mention of those binaries. But, sure enough, they were in there. Thanks!

You are right, they won't be messing with it anymore as the HUGE Tex Live will be replacing it.  But it will take a while before everyone makes the transition since the last release really hasn't collected any dust.

Hey guys, you should check this project

http://pulseaudio.org/
http://pulseaudio.org/wiki/AboutPulseAudio
http://pulseaudio.org/wiki/DownloadPulseAudio#Sourcecode
Packaged and will be included in the next release.

I tried compiling lilypond now with the teTeX package and I get this error:
Quote
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/dweeberkitty/BonusDisc/deps/lilypond/2.11.34/tmp/lilypond-2.11.34/mf'

This is METAFONT, Version 2.71828 (Web2C 7.5.4)
kpathsea: Running mktexfmt mf.base
fmtutil: format `mf' not available.
I can't find the base file `mf.base'!

I can't find anyone who's had this error. I tried running
Code: [Select]
mktexfmt mf.base and indeed it does give an error

Any ideas?

I've never seen any program that needs pulseaudio (there are a few that support it though). I'm not sure what it can do that Jack can't, or how it will work together with Jack. As far as I can see, it's designed to be a replacement for esound, which is useless. The features it offers don't seem very useful in a production environment, looks like a waste of space to me. But then again I've been wrong before.

Now, I'm not sure where you keep your package list nowadays, but is Blender on it yet? Now there's a gem :-).

Yeah, you are right. But I though we were looking for apps... Anyway, the future will say. I think jack is a dependency here. Seems like jack with network capabilities. It is cross-platform, not too much to say.

Blender is on it.

Anyone have any idea what's up with my lilypond compilation?
