Hi,

I was hoping someone could recommend some accounting software for Vector Linux.  I have a small business and would like to get some software to keep records with.  I have heard of KMyMoney.  Does this work on Vector?  If it does, how can I find, download, and install it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I think you might like gnucash...

it's available from linuxpackages.net
http://www.linuxpackages.net/download.php?id=9852

But any application should run on VL if it runs on other distros. (just about)

You need to type gnucash into the search bar and if using VL5.8 choose Slackware 11.

For kmymoney:

http://kmymoney2.sourceforge.net/index-home.html

gnucash has big dependencies.

Quasar is another notable accounting package:

http://www.linuxcanada.com/quasar.shtml

Then there is are others as well, the above support double entry accounting.

If you don't mind spending a few dollars, Moneydance is a very nice Quicken lookalike.

I'm a small home business owner, I'm looking for accounting software that is Vector SOHO 5.9.1 friendly.

I've heard of gnucash (not many positive reviews on this), I've read on kmymoney (better reviews).

I know in Vector SOHO 5.8 Gold final, kmymoney was available in the repositories.

Is kmymoney available in the repositories for 5.9.1 SOHO Vector, if so, which repository do I activate to download.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks.
