ok, so I have been put on this case, lets make it brilliant. I am waiting for some more instructions of vec, and I hope to go into the action somewhere tomorrow. In meanwhile, I also set up a sandbox page on my home httpd. I dislike playgrounds on the wiki's themselves, so thats why I like experimenting somewhere else. I think I have the time, but I am not sure because I never did something like wiki admin and I dont know what needs to be done. As I said before, I have not experience on distro development tasks, but I am good to learn and I am here for this task or others if some one is there to teach or guide or point to the proper knowledge source. I can learn by myself, since I spend a lot of time with books, but there is a lot -I mean a big lot- of documents there and I dont know where to start. |

Hey ALL: Just got a flash sitting here. For the VL wiki is it moin moin? The one at SQI is moin moin, to make a suggestion if it is not moin moin why not make it one. At least the syntax would all be the same !!! If your going to learn wiki markup may as well just learn one. Thought it was a good idea as VL's is not populate yet. Ok, I got my info, I am now working myself into the first howto article as a test.
edit: I am done with easuters howto.
Give some feedback on the way I translated the forum layout into a wiki page.

I was thinking that a section on "How to Contribute to VL" might be handy. There's people that wish to contribute to VectorLinux, but just don't know how to go about it. This could be a helpful section in the how-to. Stuff like packaging, artwork, scripting/coding, and even monetary contributions could fall into this section.

Xeon thats looking pretty neat  Hopefully, all the howtos can be written in the Wiki in future, seeing what happened to the forum a while back. Once the Wiki is fully up-and-running I'm going to give that howto a bit of a clean-up (so much has changed in the 7 or so months since it was written...). At least when VL 6.0 is in the making, a new packaging howto must be made. Another huge transition finished. Hanumizzles Kernel compile guide is now part of the wiki.
Tomorrow i'll definately look into some shorter how to's, and fix some parts (permissions etc).
