One version control system to rule them all...
« on: September 04, 2007, 06:45:28 am »

So I just finished listening to an interview with Junio Hamano (Git's maintainter) on TWiT.
Here is a direct link to the mp3 file (best wget it or "save as", because it is long):

I've just got myself going with Subversion and am already awestruck with the vast amount of (useful) features it provides, but Git...is just...the one to rule them all  ;D

Mozilla is in the early stages of changing their version control system.  They rejected Git pretty much immediately because it's far too Linux-centric for their needs.  They've tentatively decided on MercurialBazaar was also a major consideration, but had some serious performance issues.
