So I just finished listening to an interview with Junio Hamano (Git's maintainter) on TWiT.

I've just got myself going with Subversion and am already awestruck with the vast amount of (useful) features it provides, but Git...is just...the one to rule them all  Grin

Mozilla is in the early stages of changing their version control system.  They rejected Git pretty much immediately because it's far too Linux-centric for their needs.  They've tentatively decided on MercurialBazaar was also a major consideration, but had some serious performance issues.
