I miss my little fortune every day :-(
Is it possible to have this without installing the whole BSD-games.tgz?

I've figured out how to do it, and created a "Unofficial" package. I'll get back to you after some testing.

I got it all ironed out. There's a new package uploaded (bsd-games-fortune-2.13-i586-1vl58.tlz) that should be moved to testing soon.

BSD-games (slack package) puts everything in /usr/games/ which is not in default VL path. What's been the solution? moving it elswhere or adding /usr/games to the path?
I'll test it anyway, so we'll see....

The profile.d scripts simply called for fortune. I added the full paths. You're right about our default being /usr/local/games. I'm running Standard, I couldn't be sure of the (games) path in SOHO since I don't have it installed.

Apparently, this package was never introduced, because I have packages/patches/sources/testing/extra repos enabled and updated, and neither fortune nor bsd-games is to be found.

I took it form linuxpackages.net. Now I'm in 5.9 so I'll look for it again...

I know I packaged that. In a standalone version for 5.8. My announcement must of been overlooked during the rush of packages submitted for 5.9. I'll get it in there.
