So, the installation of the development VL-5.9 64 went fine, but when booting I get this error, and it just stays there:
Code:
request_module: runaway loop modprobe binfmt-464c

Here's the relevant bit on my lilo.conf (I skipped the installation of lilo in the 5.9 installer):
Code:
# Partition 3: VL 5.9 64-bit PSEUDO 0.1
image = /boot/vmlinuz
    root = /dev/sda4
    label = VL-5.9-64
    append = " "
    read-only

I'm trying it on a Core 2 Duo E6300.

Any ideas?
Thanks you!

is this lilo.conf in /dev/sda4?
if not then you need to copy the vmlinuz from /dev/sda4 to /boot/vmlinuz-vl64 and change image = /boot/vmlinuz to image = /boot/vmlinuz-vl64

Oops... silly me, seem to have forgotten that step.
Booting fine now. Smiley

Thanks a lot.

No problem, How are you liking the 64bit anyway?
