Since the newest version of vpackager, everything is written in gambas. We planned to use my command-line backend to power it, but that can't go now. But if anyone's interested, I can release my part as a separate project. It's quite simple as it's self-contained in one file.

I think it'd be nice to have something like this available on a text-mode only too. I mean, vpackager is great, but if you have no gui, you're screwed.

Incidentally, there is a way to 'remote control' execution of package creation that I introduced for vpackager, and I'll keep it in there in case anyone else wants it.
