Mostly notes to myself, but I think it could be useful to other with the same kind of chips
Based on my recent experience, I've written this howto.
Very specific to broadcom chips.
Uses ndiswrapper and wpa_supplicant.
http://vectorlinux.com/wiki/doku.php?id=howtos:wlan-broadcomI should mention that I've gotten this chip to connect with the native linux drivers as well as ndiswrapper. Here are the results.
Native linux drivers : Pros: Free drivers
Easier to setup
Cons: Poor performance
Slow network speed
More system-resources usage
ndiswrapper:Pros: Faster network performance
Less system-demanding
Cons: Closed proprietary drivers are used
More complicated to setup
Hope it helps
