Xfce autostart
« on: October 31, 2007, 06:44:28 am »
Running 5.9 beta 2.4. I'm starting Wbar from the Xfce Autostarted applications widget, using the command line below:

Code: [Select]
wbar -above-desk -isize 36 -z 1.4 -j 1.0 -bpress -nanim 3
That works fine, except when I log out and log back in - Wbar starts too fast and doesn't paint correctly unless the desktop is given a bit of time to settle..

Is there a way to induce a couple of seconds delay in the Wbar startup, or am I stuck with using a script?

add this before the script line you have:

sleep 3 ;

Thanks.   :( Unfortunately, doesn't work in the Xfce autostart. Looks like I'll need to either write a script to use for the autostart function or modify ~/.xinitrc (though I'm always nervous about modifying that type of file...)
