All hdds in vector
« on: November 04, 2007, 08:45:58 am »

I tested with the live cd. It finds all the partitions that I have including windows and files...
But when I installed vector linux, it is showing only linux partitions. Why?
I have to browse all the fat32 partitions in vector. How? Pls help...

Re-installing is not a problem, but it is when I had to.

Your partitions need to be mounted before they
can be seen.

 ;D This is cheating...

Run the live CD. When it has completed booting, open a terminal, change directory to /etc and copy fstab to one of your hard drive partitions. Then restart the installed version, backup /etc/fstab, copy the saved version into /etc, create the necessary directories and you're done...

you will need the dirs in /mnt/ from the live boot also.

VASM has a good mount util that will create the dirs
VASM -> SUPER -> FILESYSTEM -> MOUNT
