USB Modem Connection
« on: November 05, 2007, 02:20:38 pm »
A lot of times, when I'm on the move, I hook up my cell phone (Samsung SGH-T629) to my laptop's USB port and use it as a modem.
Works ok in Wind OS, but I'd like to use it on VL.

When I plug it in, I can see where the kernel senses the new modem. The problem is, I have no dial-up networking application installed on VL.
Can anyone suggest one? I dont even know one of them.

Also, any tips that I may need to get this to work would be appreciated..

Thanks guys.

I have seen KPPP being used for cell phone based connections.

That looks interesting...
I hope it doesn't require KDE ;)
