May look ok at this scale, but the bigger they get, the uglier they get. Would look better if done by someone who has the font available, can reproduce the logo at the proper size, and actually has some sort of artistic bent. I had to rescale the image of the text, and the logo, and in kindergarten I failed fingerpainting. Yes, really.
The 1280x800 versions are running on my machine, but getting them set up was really hacky. I'll clean up the install, maybe package it, and make it available. If no one makes better std-style images by then, I'll make the regular size of these available.
If you make std-style images, but don't want to do the .cfg or installation work, just let me have the images and I'll do the rest as I have time. PM or in thread are fine. As the .cfg's will be written from your images, exact placement of elements isn't important as long as it retains a "std" look.
Many have higher wide-screen resolutions available, but these two represent the most common aspect ratios and, if done well, can be simply rescaled to higher res - but that will really grow the initrd.
