When I start a TUI session with vector standard 5.8, the font is big and blocky and it's a pain reading an ls output, let alone running anything in it. When I installed the os, I chose this 'safe mode' over a graphic mode with more lines of text, but now I want those lines. What have I got to configure?

Thanks

When the lilo screen comes up, hit tab
then enter this
"linux root=/dev/hdxx ro vga=791"
replace "hdxx" with the correct location of the kernel in the hard drive... your / partition (ie, hda1, hdb1, hda3, etc)
then hit enter... your fonts should look better
if they do, log in as root
edit your /etc/lilo.conf and find the line that says "vga=xxx" and change that to "vga=791"

I just edited the /etc/lilo.conf and it worked. Thank you.
