Vector Linux Marketing Research
« on: December 04, 2007, 05:36:39 am »

Hello!

I have now finished the marketing research questionnaire for Vector Linux. It is intended for newcomers who have changed to Vector Linux.
Hopefully as many as possible are willing to participate in the research since it is for the good of Vector Linux.
It is not for my personal pleasure but most importantly it is for all the users. Please do not abuse the system by giving false answers.

Here is the questionnaire: https://e-lomake.puv.fi/elomake2/lomakkeet/964/lomake.html

Cheers,
DrGrov

Stop complaining about everything, do something about it instead.

Tried.

Sorry, but it is very badly formulated, can't complete without distortion. IE, question 5 - didn't use Windows before. Don't make that sort of assumption. Another question regarding desktop enviroment also should not be mandatory.

I just took a peek at the questionnaire. I think the answers to numbers  17 and 18 need to be fixed.

I think it would be nice if "other" was listed as a previous Linux distro as there are many, and the choices in the drop down are few.  :)

If you make it mandatory to respond, you should provide options for "No Desktop Environment" (#10 and #12) and "Other" Window Managers (#13).
A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that works.

I would have expected slackware to be listed in previous linux distros, but no worries, I'll choose other.

Easy DrGrov, they're just trying to make sure you get information as accurate as can be conveyed - more than one superior product has failed due to poor market research, and there's no reason Vector should be added to that lot.
Acer Laptop:  Vector 5.8 SOHO Final & Windows XP Professional & USB (still alive!)
Compaq POS (almost dead): Vector 5.9 Light Beta 5
Quad-core BEAST: Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit & Vector 5.9 64-bit beta-2
Old 500MHz media box:  Vector 5.8 SOHO Final (dead)
701 EeePC:  Puppeee (based on Puppy 4.01)
