File Emblems
« on: November 05, 2007, 04:45:21 pm »

I have made an emblem that I want to mark a certain folder with. It appears that these images should go in /usr/share/icons/gnome/48x48/emblems. All of the files in that directory are 32x32 and seem to be the ones that appear when you select a folder and choose properties>emblems.

I named the image emblem-Work.png and created a companion file named emblem-Work.icon with the following contents

Code: [Select]
[Icon Data]

DisplayName=Work

like the other images have.

Have I got the image file in the wrong place or do I need to do something else?

The companion file named emblem-Work.icon is not required. I just had to log out then log back in and my home made emblem was then available for use.
