I'm new to Vector Linux, installed RC3 on Monday and I'm really impressed. It's v fast. I've got XP on my PC, and PCLinuxOS, and I can see why Vector earned its reputation for speed. Not sure if it's just XFCE rather than KDE, but it is a lot faster to just browse around the filesystem etc. than PCLOS.

Mounting my NTFS partitions etc was nice and easy, and works well, as does plugging in my memory card reader.

Found a forum post on how to get my side buttons on my MS Intellimouse working, that worked so I'm happy Smiley

So far so good Smiley

Cheers

As they say in the Slackware world: "When it is ready!". Please be patient. If you really want VL on your machine now our version 5.8 (Gold Standard and SOHO) are very good and really less than a year old anyways, so you won't be missing too much!
