På vikingtog

Strangely, the lyrics were hosted on a Chinese site. If you consider China's situation carefully, the juxtaposition actually makes sense.

På vikingtog til fremmed land
dro menn av nordisk ætt.
På kongeskip sto mann ved mann
av Hirden kamp beredt.
Til Island og Grønland og Hjaltland,
gikk ferden på langskip mot vest,
i Frankrike, i Irland og England,
var nordmannen ubuden gjest.

Ja, fienden de måtte vike,
selv paven han tapte sin makt,
ha! ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
For til vern om det stornorske riket
stod trofaste Hirdmenn på vakt.

Nå reiser vi en Hird påny
av Vidkun Quislings menn.
Og her i gamle Oslo by
Står Vikingkorpset frem.
Se baunene lyser fra fjellet
Barer bud om den nye tid.
Og baunenes lys skal fortelle
om hirdmenn som fylkes til strid.

Da fienden atter skal vike
og pampene tape sin makt,
ha! ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
For til vern om det stornorske riket
står trofaste hirdmenn på vakt.

I missed that, Metvas, but I did catch part of the Pink Floyd marathon on VH1 Classic as well as a recent concert by what's left of The Who.

Falkenbach - Havamal

I recommend this video to everyone: if you don't like the music, turn off the sound and watch the pictures of the Savoie region in the Alps.

Arditi - The Sinking Ship

This world is a sinking ship
Sunk by the weight of six billion people
We were sentenced to this fate
By those who preached that they all
are as good as you and I
That they all should decide our destination
Though none of them has found a meaningful
Direction for themselves

Now everything we loved will die
Unless we get another go at steering

So here we stand,
On the summit of the aft,
Hurling defiance at our misfortune

Horslips - The Unfortunate Cup Of Tea

It's not their best album by any means... actually it may be their worst.  I just hadn't played it in a long time and it does have a few really good tracks.
