Philip Glass - Itaipu / The Canyon Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus Robert Shaw, Conductor
Obviously I'm not listening to both pieces at once. The Canyon is actually on right now. The two pieces were released together on one album, which I have on a prerecorded minidisc (MD).

Tangerine Dream - Tangerine Tree Vol. 52 Klangwald Cologne WDR Sendesaal, Germany 25th November 1972
This is a live concert recording, technically a bootleg, that was released with the blessing of Tangerine Dream/Edgar Froese as part of the Tangerine Tree series.

So you like reggae ... dub maybe? Celestial is the most elite dub collective in the world ... and the island they're from isn't anywhere near Jamaica.

It's Cait, short for Caitlyn. It sounds just like Kate but is spelled differently. I don't consider myself a hippie. That whole scene was before my time. Tangerine Dream is still alive, well, and still very much led by Edgar Froese. They've been around for 41+ years. While I prefer their '70s output (plus a few '80s and '90 things) it's perfectly possible and easy to find very new Tangerine Dream music, so not necessarily a blast from the past. This is, though: Right now I'm listening to: Conrad Schnitzler - Con '72 Oh, and yeah, that's the same guy who was a Tangerine Dream member circa 1969-70. He's in his 70s now and is more prolific than ever. I have a couple of 2007-2008 Schnitlzer releases that I really like.

Currently listening to Van the man, Astral Weeks. Opps sorry Caitlyn, a typo! Was joking with the hippie bit - I am more of the Punk era, but listen to loads of 60's/70's too. I checked Tangerine Dreams website, quite cool sounds actually.
