This probably a dumb question but I am new to linux, have installed vl 5.8 standard gold, love it runs smooth, But trying to figure of how do I go about mounting my cd-rom and floppy it's telling me their not mounted.  Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.. Grin


Excuse just noticed I posted in wrong stop but wont let me delete it...

Place a floppy or CD in the respective drive and double click on the appropriate floppy or CDROM icon on your desktop. The Thunar file manager should pop up in a few seconds showing your files on those media.

Did you do the above?

For some unknown reason this method doesn't work with my floppy  Huh
I mean, floppy mounts but no file manager is launched to view contents of disk.
I have to go to /mnt/floppy to see what's on floppy drive.
Any suggestions?
