I know these are not packages but.......... Especially in the SOHO version I believe this would be a great benefit. Also is a "must have" for laptop users.

Actually I only use VL on laptops and have never used suspend/hibernate nor do I need it.
Most music on my soundcloud page was arranged in programs running on VL.

The new 5.9 is patched with tuxonice and I think you just have to append the proper device to lilo or grub for resuming. I didn't tried yet, but try running hibernate as root and see what happens.
