OpenOffice for Standard edition?

Is there a clean method of adding OpenOffice to the Standard edition of Vector (current version)?  The download from OpenOffice.org failed.

The slack12 package from linuxpackages.net could work.

Hello
I'm looking for OO for 5.9Gold Standard too ( xfce running)

Did this/doesthis work.??

I dont mean to kvetch but i note the info here http://www.vectorlinux.com/ re this release says OO is available in the repos.

I could well be doing something wrong with gslapt ( heh see post count) but I cant seem to find it.

I appreciate the time of year is not really conducive to rapid updating of EVERYTHING :)

Any extra info or confirmation re SlackwareV12 or V11 OO pkg/release would be appreciated : there are posts suggesting SlackV11 packages only.

Equally will OO be available in the repos?

Happy New Year to all.

Regards.
Stephen.

OO is in the extra repo.
it was moved there today so it may take a bit for it to update to all the mirrors

Buying the Deluxe is a way to donate, but there's also a way to donate by going to http://vectorlinux.com/
and clicking on the PAYPAL donate button found on the left side.

Hi,
I'm quite new to Vector, although I'm an experienced (Debian-based) Linux user.
I am trying to install OO in VL5.9 and I get an error about a missing dependency, orbit2. Where can I get this package?

Best regards,
Galv

orbit2 is installed. you can check with pkgtool.
something about the way its named screws up gslapt.
you can install OO with the -no-dep option
