All of dweeberkittys hard work is included in the bonus disk that comes with VectorLinux-5.9 deluxe so please show your appreciation and purchase a copy.!!
vec
I would definitely have to agree on that. Because of his hard work the results are extraordinary . I did some testing on a few of the testing .iso , and I was highly impressed at that point. I am absolutely certain that the purchase version is enough to make one forget the cost (even though it's priced right). Plus you would be helping to support the new expensive web costs, which is now hosting our coolest ever web site Oh, and don't forget to buy an extra one along with Deluxe, for your friends

Installed Vector Linux for the first time last night and I just finished screwing around with it... I guess I'm one of the few who use GNOME

Vector Light RC2 with Xmonad and Conky: I always wanted to try Xmonad, how is the installation? Did you use the haskell package in the repo? Installed Vector Linux for the first time last night and I just finished screwing around with it... I guess I'm one of the few who use GNOME Hmm you would be surprised.

Updated to VL 5.9 (I installed VL SOHO 5.8 by mistake ). Here's my desktop with the same wallpaper, but now I'm sticking with Fluxbox.

Vector Light RC2 with Xmonad and Conky: Looks great! I've always wanted to try it, but never went through installing all deps (Maybe I didn't try hard enough I don't know haskell, but xmonad seems one of most powerful tiling wm. I've been using ratpoison for last 3 years, and I'm pretty happy with it, but it's never too late to change. We have awesome wm in our repos, just in case you wanna try a wmii/dwm clone Well, here's a screenshot of my current desktop http://img368.imageshack.us/img368/5738/screenld4.jpgCya

The new Awesome 3 is almost done, here is a screenshot of RC6 running in VL 6. Pretty much the default configuration, I only added a function to toggle title bars on / off and one to show the date in the status bar; I have to say it, tweaking this is really fun, I wish to have more time for it

I just 'know' there are 2 windows, because I splitted the whole screen in two frames and every frame contains one window. Theese are the kind of things where tiling wm outstand: maximizing useful screen area ratpoison doesn't draw titlebars.... one should know what application is looking at without looking at the window title
