I was given an Intergraph Zx10 Pentium 3 computer, on which I'm trying to install VL 5.9 Gold.  I'm told the machine had been running WinXP Home, but previous owner did an aborted install to wipe the HD.  HD is a "Quantum Atlas 10K II" SCSI drive.  The whole install process of partitioning, installing, and installing LILO to the MBR all appear to work correctly, but then attempting to boot the machine results in a "Operating System Not Found" message.  The install process reports the HD as /dev/sda, and the three partitions (root, swap, home), as /dev/sda1,2,3.  Everything looks normal but the infuriating beastie won't boot up.

Are there any particular tricks to either installing to or booting from a SCSI HD?  All help / suggestions appreciated.

There shouldnt be any additional steps to install to a SCSI drive.
Try booting the system with the install disk and then running vfixmbr as root wipe the mbr and reinstall lilo
