How do I add the 5.9 Deluxe CD2 to slapt-getrc?
« on: December 29, 2007, 08:49:31 pm »
I bought the 5.9 Deluxe version and burned the two CDs. I want to add the second CD to slapt-getrc. I added this line to slapt-getrc:
SOURCE=file:///mnt/cdrom/Deluxe/Xapps/

because I want OpenOffice and that's where it is on the CD. When I try to run Gslapt, I get this message:
file:///mnt/cdrom/Deluxe/Xapps
This package source failed or is not available.

I've had the same problem on two computers. How do you add a CD to slapt-getrc?

When I tried to add openoffice from the /extra repository with Gslapt, it says there's a dependency failure:
Excluding openoffice.org: Depends: orbit2 >= 2.14.8

Dependency failure so soon into the life of VL5.9 Standard Gold?

Shouldn't Deluxe CD2 come with at least a Readme file telling the user how to use the darn thing?

You'll have to add the directory that contains a PACKAGES.TXT.
Most music on my soundcloud page was arranged in programs running on VL.

Thanks. I'll give that a try.
