Yes, that is what I anticipate at the end of my journey - a working card-reader!
This is on my Acer laptop, a Travelmate 8000 that's 3 years old now. Everything else Vector-y works - wifi, power management, etc - with the exception of the 4-way scroll button. But that's not what I'm interested in.
It's also got an all-in-one card-reader, which I'd like to be able to make use of.

I can see four entries there for the card-reader, so at the very least it's recognised.
Also, in the /dev/dri folder, there's an entry called card0 - is this in any way related?
Thanks in advance.
(By the way, if anyone wants to take a stab at the 4-way scroll button, I'd be most appreciative - they're treated as mouse buttons)
EDIT: Whoops, forgot: running Vector SOHO 5.8 Final
