Is there a way to create a desktop icon when a CD or DVD is mounted?

Which version of VL are you using? Because for me, with VL5.9, using HAL, any CD placed in my drive gets an icon and either the file manager auto loads or the xmms player starts if its a music CD.

I'm using 5.9 Std. Gold. It's a data CD or DVD not audio. And no icon here on the desktop, and can mount only from devices icon on panel (the fastest way). No auto loading here either.

If you like auto-loading then go to VASM, SUPER, HARDWARE, MOUNTER and choose HAL.
