Good Day!

Any tips on making SOHO run faster?, kde settings or programmes that can be disabled?

Hi quoque,
To make it faster, you can do several things:

-Make sure you're booting with vlinit, not with system-V init (you can check it with vasm)
-Lower KDE eye-candyness
-Disable unneeded  services at each runlevel.

To make it significantly faster:

-Do not use KDE. Use lighter wm/de.
-You can try std version (5.9 is out),  it does not come with kde but xfce.

Welcome to vl btw
