I was attempting to install some new fonts for an application running under Wine and also for OpenOffice. Somehow, in my supreme carelessness I have seemingly messed up the fonts in what appear to be mostly GTK applications, i.e. Firefox, gFTP, gslapt, Pidgin, amongst some others.

The font on the menus of all these apps now appears as a fairly course Courier type font, looking rather ugly. I have no idea how to get back to normal. Any ideas appreciated.
