Toshiba laptop lid switch: How do I configure it's action?
« on: January 20, 2008, 10:35:32 am »
I'm breaking this topic out from my wish list at http://www.vectorlinux.com/forum2/index.php?topic=5347.0
I have been getting help with hibernate and cpufrequency, but this is my top annoyance.

And my original post was a bum steer.  The lid switch does not do nothing.  It blanks the screen. I just poked the switch with my finger and had to completely rewrite this post.   :o

I would like the lid switch to shut down the system.  In the future I'll want it to hibernate the system (once the system will hibernate).  How do I change this?
Dual booting Kubuntu Gutsy Gibbon and VecorLinux on a Toshiba Satellite.

I am able to lock screen when I close the lid. You can modify the lid.sh script to execute any command you like....
