Just installed VL 5.9 Gold on one of my old P3 guys and everything pretty well worked. The only biggie left, if it's possible to do, is set up an autologin. Had a quick search for this topic in the VL forum but didn't find anything that closely related.

Anyone?

Thr thread you references refers to "opt/kde/share/config/......."  I only have a directory named "applnk" at that location.  has something changed? I just installed 5.9.

yes, kde resides in /usr now, so the kdmrc file is in /usr/share/config/kdm/kdmrc
