In another post i explained that i am a new Vector user and new to Slackware distro's.  I have VL5.9 Gold standard installed and would like to install kde, do i do this through Gslapt?

You should be able to install KDE From Gslapt.

Or you could download the bounus disc it will install KDE along with many mutimedia programs that are useful.
