 ???how do i can switch language keyboard betaween english- thai?

i am use thai keyboard.mycomputer's spec. is
pii 400 mhz, 256 sdram, s3savage3d 8 mb vga,4 gb hdd

i am  use vectorlinux as newbie. i need to use thai keyboard but i can not.
i try to install packages as scim1.47 ,scim_thai 1.03 ,libthai 1.04 ,datrie but
i am still got the ploblem.

if anyone known please shown me the way.
i like   vectorlinux because of  my old pc.
that can not support for opentle 8 installation.

I haven't ever needed to try keyboard switching...
