Hi there
I notice that when I click pause in xine and again to play or click play, the file resumes but has no sound. this does not happen in mplayer (but I do not like skin.is there a skin pak)

what may cause the sound to not return in xine after pause?
any thoughts

adding.

I dicovered that if I click pause..befor resumeing  if I click: fast motion. pause, play, after doing so the pause works normal during that session.
If I play another movie and want to pause I must click fast motion ,pause, play, to resume with sound also then pause works.

.that's odd..the pause works fine when I install vl to the test box.

is there a skin pak

Go to the <a href="http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html"

>downloads[/url] section of the Mplayer site. Scroll down to the Skins section and choose one you like.

From the Mplayer readme
Quote
STEP5: Installing a GUI skin
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Unpack the archive and put the contents in /usr/local/share/mplayer/skins/ or
~/.mplayer/skins/. MPlayer will use the skin in the subdirectory named default
of /usr/local/share/mplayer/skins/ or ~/.mplayer/skins/ unless told otherwise
via the '-skin' switch. You should therefore rename your skin subdirectory or
make a suitable symbolic link.
Create a skins directory in your .mplayer directory and unpack your downloaded skin there. The next time you open Mplayer your new skin will be used.
