Hi
does everyone know this already...I use fluxbox but you can do this in xfce-
set an xscreensaver as wallpaper

First click menu, go to settings, desktop settings

uncheck the box - allow xfce to manage the desktop - and close

then click menu, terminal and type:

/usr/libexec/xscreensaver/rocks -root &

minimize the terminal

use menu as usual

close the terminal and recheck the box in desktop settings and things should be back to normal.

although you may choose an alternate saver keep resourses in mind

You do not have desktop icons to double click but there are lots of ways to conviently comput with out double clicking destop icons.

cheers
