Ubuntu Brainstorm
« on: February 28, 2008, 04:26:14 pm »

Ubuntu is soliciting ideas for their OS here:  http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/.

Since I installed a recent release of Ubuntu just to see what it was like, I put in a suggestion.  You guys will never guess what I put  ;).

No, it wasn't mean or obnoxious or anything like that.  I think it would actually improve their distro.

Tom

EDIT:  Five minutes after I posted my idea, I had twelve down votes.

Hey Dave,

I suggested they switch to a Slackware base.  I know this is never going to happen, but I think if they did it, it would improve Ubuntu.  In my experience Slackware, VL, and other Slackware-based distributions are more stable and more (after some learning) easier to use.
