Actually, the script is called bootinst.sh
You it like this
Code:
./bootinst /dev/sda1
replace /dev/sda1 with the partition where your files are on the usb stick.

Well I did
Code:
./bootinst.sh /dev/sda1
That  worked better Wink
Actually I think I had to do sudo but that's a Pardus thing I suppose.
The Gui of standard didn't give a nice screen (couldn't read a thing, so continu with the old fashioned way)
Some other trouble with the partitions (not a vl problem). I'll be back. Wink

There I am, typing from standard on the netbook. X didn't start directly had to set it up another time via VASM in TUI. Sound isn't working. I'm looking for that in the thread from kidd and his adventures in nebook land.

Yes I did, and tried with other distros - easy peasy just looped back to the start... have tried this a few times.  The usb drive is 1gb, maybe that is the problem... the host drive on the netbook is 8GB

@ Lyn:

I know I'm quite late, but I had the same issue to make a bootable usb stick off unetbootin....

I simply changed the isolinux/initrd.img to isolinux/init.gz, and voilĂ  !

Since I'm installing VL on a eeePc 701, then I have issues with the screen size / video mode, but besides that all seems fine !
