Vector will not boot
« on: March 06, 2008, 05:28:19 pm »
I am running 5.9 I believe , everything was working well then swapped video cards and on boot up instead of sliding through the two screens with penguins and requesting my user name and password, the penguin screen comes up in full size  and ask for a log in.

How do I restore VL back to normal.

Login as root. Then try running vxconf and just follow the process.
If that doesn't work, you can do:

Code: [Select]
cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf-vesa /etc/X11/xorg.conf
to get a gui with a generic driver until the problem is fixed in a definitive way.
