I installed Vector with

hda1 - installed programs (4GB)
hda2 - for data (35.5 GB)
hda3 -  swap space (500MB)

I think a better arrangement would be

hda1 - installed programs (39GB)
hda2 - swap space (1 GB)

I tried using parted to resize hda1 but it won't let me unless I unmount it and I can't unmount it while I'm using it   Sad

Any tips before I re-install Vector, folks?

Using GParted (http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php)outside of VL would allow you to do that (depending on what file system you used for hda1).

Since the install was very new and no data was at stake,  I re-installed from scratch.  The chicken's way out, I know but I've got the partitions I want now.

As you were!   Wink
