Decide something according to whether it is right, not whether it is merely allowed.

The opposite would be a lot worst. The Matrix running on a rpm based system *shrudders*

Although I tried this on my system and it worked flawlessly:
Code:
su
rpm2tgz tomh38.rpm ; installpkg tomh38.tgz ; rm *rpm *tgz
chmod +x /etc/rc.d/rc.matrix
/etc/rc.d/rc.matrix start
You are in. But you're alone. What do you do??

Ok, I'm not heartless.
Code:
installpkg pack-o-bots.tgz
/etc/rc.d/rc.matrix restart
Better? You can edit ~/.matrix_profile if you want to change any of the defaults. Don't forget to source ~/.matrixrc if you do.

___
I've been meaning to ask. What does 'rc' stand for in any of the startup scripts? It's not 'Radio Controlled', that's for sure  Huh

All right, I'm finished tweaking the Ubuntu folks.  I thought about putting something in about "Ubuntu:  Jittery Jackrabbit," but it was all probably a little too much like flamebait from the beginning.  They love their distro, and though I don't particularly care for it, it's better than <insert name of operating system which, whenever I bash it, GrannyGeek slams down upon me like the fist of an angry GrannyGoddess>.  Grin
