I had another idea for Ubuntu Brainstorm.

Decide something according to whether it is right, not whether it is merely allowed.

The opposite would be a lot worst. The Matrix running on a rpm based system *shrudders*

Although I tried this on my system and it worked flawlessly:
Code: [Select]
su
rpm2tgz tomh38.rpm ; installpkg tomh38.tgz ; rm *rpm *tgz
chmod +x /etc/rc.d/rc.matrix
/etc/rc.d/rc.matrix start
You are in. But you're alone. What do you do??

Ok, I'm not heartless.
Code: [Select]
installpkg pack-o-bots.tgz
/etc/rc.d/rc.matrix restart
Better? You can edit ~/.matrix_profile if you want to change any of the defaults. Don't forget to source ~/.matrixrc if you do.

___
I've been meaning to ask. What does 'rc' stand for in any of the startup scripts? It's not 'Radio Controlled', that's for sure  ???

Freston:

ROFL
...

All right, I'm finished tweaking the Ubuntu folks.  I thought about putting something in about "Ubuntu:  Jittery Jackrabbit," but it was all probably a little too much like flamebait from the beginning.  They love their distro, and though I don't particularly care for it, it's better than <insert name of operating system which, whenever I bash it, GrannyGeek slams down upon me like the fist of an angry GrannyGoddess>.  ;D
