im 100% sure our provider supports that kinda downloads (ive downloaded my current VL5.8 as well so...)
but when i tried to DL VL5.9STD it said there was a time-out and that the download had been aborted.

well, i was going at 30.4KBPS so i can believe that, but my internet connection is WAY faster usually.
so i think its the host who's network isnt fast enough.
but then how could ANYONE download it if it gives a time-out?

i don't know it anymore, please help Cry

i cant just keep on retrying u know, it take +- the whole night to get it off the net :p

how you download it? It is recommend to use some downloader like orbit or flashget (for windiows) or wget or d4x (for linux) that can resume download.

You could try downloading again with a different mirror. Judging from your name I'm guessing you're Dutch. I usually use the nluug mirror, quite fast and reliable, located somewhere in NL. Also, for .iso's I prefer using "wget" to download. It has never failed me. to download with wget, you could use something like
You can copy paste this in a terminal by highlighting it with the left mouse button, then paste it by clicking the middle mouse button (wheel). If for some reason downloading fails (lost connection or something), you should be able to continue downloading with the -c switch:
wget -c

Good luck!

Most music on my soundcloud page was arranged in programs running on VL.
