Vector Linux 5.9 Deluxe did not come pre-installed on my computer. I had to install it myself. I've had lots of difficulties with various versions of Linux, but no major ones with Vector. Also, I've never had any virus or other malware infestations, though some kind of beetle did fry itself in one of my power supplies a few years ago. I do not run a particularly tight ship. In fact, I look at whatever websites I want to without worrying ... you know which ones I mean. Tom ... hacker messageboards? I'm right, aren't I

What are these "messageboards" you speak of?
I am intrigued by your ideas and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

You're somewhere in Scandanavia if I remember right.
I live in Pennsylvania, where I was born. However, my hateful, starved expression often confuses people. Pennsylvania, Scandinavia... they both end in ia... Sorry. I hope I didn't offend you.

Come on, you guys, this is an OS flamewar, not a mutual admiration society.
No, ... wait, wait ... not a flamewar, a respectful discussion!

Maybe Windows users will be getting a discount because of this: http://www.itworld.com/Tech/2421/microsoft-brand-in-decline-080328/index.html Okay, now I'm going to quote one of the comments from Slashdot on this article, from someone whose nick is 'Facetious': Today's forecast calls for light showers with a high chance of flying chairs. Seriously, though, I used to doubt the power of "branding," but the more I learn about the average consumer (disappointing as it may be), the more I understand why companies care about this kind of thing. Article here: http://www.informationweek.com/news/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=207001276From the article: White did not provide a reason for his decision. To be sure, his position could not have been an easy one. White's posts often elicited hundreds of responses from Vista users complaining about the operating system's numerous glitches and quirks.

unlikely it seems logical on the face of it, I really couldn't agree more however, you forgot to take the bovine intellect of most humans into account
