Hi and umm stuff also thanx VL team

Hello and greetings to everyone,

Trying out VL on my ancient IBM Thinkpad 390X so far mostly so good.

I'm real newish to the whole .nix thing so many opportunities to learn (trying to think of a nice way to say I don't know how to do a couple many things yet w/ the ol VL / Linux in general)

however that didn't stop me from getting OpenVPN working on my laptop which make me pretty happy.

I also I'm jumping in w/ both feet and set up a old computer as File server on my network (that one is runnig PCLinuxOS ATM ... I have a win2k3 domain at home (and after much banging of my head (LITERALLY) on my desk I managed to get it on my AD Domain w/ Samba3.

I was kinda happy to get mame working on linux also.

blah blah blah =)

anyways VL is shaping up pretty nicely for making my old thinkpad (used to surf web while watching tv in living room) "useable" again (it was too slow w/ w2k)

I'm going to ask in another section but if anyone happens to know how to

a. make my wifi adapter pick up my AP on boot (right now I have to open wifi radar and tell it to connect to my AP..which isn't the end of the world but it would be nice if the thing would just pick up my Wifi on boot)

b. how to bring up the TUN interface on boot  / start OpenVPN connection on boot

that would be FANTASTIC.

alright cheers

Masta
